Care for Patients Needing Mental Health Care
You’ll find caring for psychiatric patients is challenging and rewarding
If you like each day to bring new challenges and want to work in a specialty that requires a high level of skills, behavioral health nursing may be for you. You’ll care for patients – either children or adults – battling mental illnesses like eating disorders, depression and autism. It’s a specialty where creative thinking and independent judgment are invaluable. You’ll work with a care team dedicated to helping people get well so they can care for themselves and their loved ones. You’ll have tremendous satisfaction knowing you’ve helped change someone’s life.
You may consider our Behavioral Health Specialty Float Pool, in which you could work with adult and pediatric behavioral health patients, depending on where you are needed during a particular day.
The Behavioral Health Science Center is located on the LVH-Muhlenberg campus. Staff care for up to 52 adults and 13 adolescent patients, as well as patients on an outpatient basis. This page last updated 2/12/08 04:08 PM
